Bank of India is a state-owned Commercial Bank and the bank is operating with its headquarters in the city of Mumbai. Bank of India has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Specialist Officer (Chartered Accountant) and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the bank in this respect:

Name of the Position: Specialist officer (Chartered Accountant) (Post Code: 06) (Scale II position)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 167, which is divided among the different category of candidates as given below:

• General – 71

• OBC – 51

• ST – 14

• SC – 31

Out of these 167 positions, 1 position is reserved for Orthopedically Challenged candidates.

Period of Probation: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of his/her joining the bank.

Educational qualification:

Candidates must have completed their final examination of the Chartered Accountancy course.

Age requirement: Minimum age requirement to apply for the position of Specialist Officer (Chartered Accountancy) is 21 years and maximum age requirement is 35 years as on the 30th of November 2011.

Mode of Selection:

On the basis of number of vacancies if the written test is held, only candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in the objective type written test will be called for interview in the ration of 1:3. Mere pass in the written test cannot assure a candidate to be called for interview.

Application fee:

Application fee to be paid by general candidates is Rs.500 and by candidates belonging to SC/ST category need not pay any fee. General candidates will have to pay the fee through bank challan given in Page no.15 of the notification page that can be downloaded from the link called Click for copy of notice from the web page of the bank at http://www.bankofindia.com/career.aspx and the fee should be paid through any branches of Bank of India from 26th December 2011 to 16th of January 2012. After payment of fee, candidates will have to obtain the transaction ID and they should also have a scanned copy of their photograph and signature for applying online.
