Eligibility criterion for pursuing M Tech in India.
The pre-requisite criterion to study the M Tech program in India is a pass in the B Tech program in the concerned disciplines. Candidates are supposed to have completed the graduate program in engineering from a recognized institute. In addition, they should also appear for the GATE exam. Only those who have a valid GATE score can expect M Tech admissions in reputed engineering institutes.

Sir,I’m a B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from WBUT.I qualified GATE 2012 in Instrumentation and got chance in Jadavpur University for M.E. in Power Engineering.I got a job in Cognizant during B.Tech from campus but am totally not interested to join IT industry.Either I want to get a job in core industry or want to pursue a Ph.D in hope of earning a considerable amount.But I am totally confused what to do next after completing Ph.D.Shall I be able to get a chance to become a faculty in technical institutes after pursuing B.Tech and M.E. from different departments?If yes, which department then,Instrumentation or Power?
Presently I’m doing a job(Electrical Field) in a MNC Company.But I’m very much interested in doing Part time M.Tech. Can anybody guide me whether this M.Tech will be beneficial(for getting higher salary jobs or better profile jobs like design in India or abroad) for me in future or not? Can I do P.Hd(in India or abroad) based on this Part time M.Tech degree? Or will this degree be accepted if I want to be an engineering college faculty later on?Please guide me if you can.I need these information badly.
Hello,sir my self Abhishek from mumbai i have been completed BE(Mech) from mumbai university. I got the admission in VJTI for Mtech(CAD/CAM,Automation). What is future scope, is there placement, can i take the admission, is their job opportunity for Mtech(CAD/CAM) student. Please advise me i am full cofused what to do.
