Admission Procedure of B.Tech
The general procedure for admission procedure for most of the institutes is similar. All students will need to appear for the entrance exam either specific to the institute or state or national level. Thereafter they will need to appear for the personal counseling session. Based on the score the students will be allocated admission in the institute.
Admission Requirements to join the B.Tech Course
In order to secure admission the candidates need to have completed they 12th standard. Students who have completed equivalent course too can apply for the course. There is a condition that it should be from a recognized institute. They need to have pursued Mathematics and also science during 12th standard. The Science subjects should include both Physics and Chemistry. Many of the institutes prefer candidates who score at least 60% in these subjects. Also it is a must in some of the institutes that the candidate should have pursued English as a subject. 50% is a must in this subject. The overall score should be at least 50%.
Application form for the B.Tech Course
The applications are normally available from the month of November. It varies from state to state. Students who are in the 12th standard too can apply for the exam. They should have completed their course at the time of counseling. The form will include information like
- Name of the Candidate
- Date of Birth
- Gender/ Caste
- Education Qualification
- Permanent and Current Address
- Telephone Number
In the education qualification details like the 10th and 12th Marks, name of the institute, board will need to be provided. Also information like Physical Disabilities, Domicile status will need to be mentioned. It is a must that the parents or guardian sign the form.
Documents required for admission to the B.Tech Course
The candidates need to paste their latest photograph on the form. Some ask for an additional photograph for the hall ticket. Also along with the form the candidate may be required to attach proof of the documents like the educational qualification, school leaving certificate. Also those who belong to the SC/ST, OBC or are physically challenged will need to attach copy of the documents proving the same.
Cancellation of Admission
If any of the forms are not filled in correctly the same will be rejected. Incomplete forms too will be rejected. So it is important to fill the form cautiously. Also it is important that the true information is mentioned in the form. As if it is found that the information provided in not true the admission will be rejected.
