Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University is offering under graduate courses in streams like Food Science, Home Science, and Agriculture. Candidates having completed 10 + 2 in science stream are eligible to apply for these courses. Admission to most of the courses is offered on the basis of candidate’s performance in EAMCET.

Eligibility Criteria for UG level courses in ANGRAU

For Bachelor of Science in Agriculture

Eligible candidates should have completed their HSC course from any of the recognized institutions in Andhra Pradesh. Those who have passed any other equivalent examination recognized by the University or Intermediate Board are also eligible. The qualification should be obtained in any of the subjects related to Physical Sciences, Biological Science or Natural Science.

For Bachelor of Science in Commercial Agriculture and Business Management and Bachelor of Technology in Food Science

Those who have completed HSC course as mentioned above in any of the following streams are eligible to apply.

• Physical Sciences
• Biological Science
• Mathematics
• Natural Science

For Bachelor of Home Science

Women candidates who possess the eligibility conditions as mentioned for B.Sc in Commercial Agriculture and Business Management can seek admission to the course. Those who have completed three year diploma in Home Science are also eligible to apply. Such candidates are usually admitted to supernumerary seats.

For Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering

Those who have passed their intermediate examination in any of the streams of Physical Science or Mathematics are eligible to apply.

Admission Procedure for UG level courses in ANGRAU

Admission to all courses except B.H.Sc is carried out on the basis of candidate’s performance in EAMCET. Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is a state level entrance test conducted by JNU Hyderabad on behalf of Department of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Admission to B.H.Sc course is usually done on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in qualifying examination. Age of the candidate must be within 17 years and 22 years. Category wise reservation is offered for eligible candidates.

Foreign students can seek admission to any of the UG level courses by forwarding an application to the Assistant Director of ICAR. The application must include all necessary details of candidate’s academic record. These applications are evaluated by the concerned department to determine candidate’s eligibility for admission.
