M.Phil (Commerce) in Delhi University- Selection Process and Fee structure
Admission to the M.Phil programme in Commerce is on the basis of score obtained in entrance exam conducted by the University. Post graduates with 55% marks are eligible to apply for this course. Average course fee is Rs. 3600/- per year.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed post graduation courses such as M.Com/ MIB/ MHROD/ MFC/ MBA from any University recognized by UGC are eligible for M.Phil in Commerce in Delhi University. Candidates who seek admission to the course need to have a minimum of 55 % marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. Apart from this, candidates who have appeared for the final examination of the above mentioned post graduate courses can also apply for this course. Admission to such candidates will be on the basis of submission of supporting documents including final results within stipulated time.
Selection Procedure for M.Phil in Commerce in Delhi University
Candidates who seek admission to this course will have to clear the written test and personal interview conducted by the University. The university conducts the written test usually in the month of July or August every year. Candidates who have cleared the written test will be short listed for personal interview. Final selection will be on the basis of scores obtained in entrance exam as well as in personal interview.
Exam pattern of Entrance test
There will be a total of 200 questions. Of these, 60 questions will be asked from Quantitative Methods for Research and 35 questions will be asked from each of the topics such as Accounting Finance & Tax, International Business & Marketing, HRM & Law and Economics. Questions will be in objective type multiple choice formats. Candidates can expect questions from topics such as Quantitative methods for Research, Accounting Finance and Tax, International Business & Marketing, Human Resource Management & Law, and Economics. The questions will be of post graduation level. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
Course structure of M.Phil (Commerce) in Delhi University
The duration of the course is two years. It includes one year of course work and one year of dissertation project. Dissertation project can be extended up to four years from the date of admission. The course offers five areas of specialization. They are
