Centre profile: It was established in the year 1971 under department of atomic energy (govt. of India). It is a premier multidisciplinary research and development and engineering centre. It has got the best technologies and advancements. It is an ISO certified centre. It spends around Rs670 millions on R & D activities.

Job profile: The technical officers will be required to work in the departments like marine science, environmental science, metallurgy and material science etc. They will be required to handle and manage various operations in their departments and also monitor the progress of the work.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 40 years. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a PhD degree in the concerned discipline with a minimum experience of 2 years in the R&D field in the relevant discipline. A candidate for the metallurgy department may have a PhD (no experience required) or a Master’s degree with a minimum experience of 2 years.

No. of posts: There are 5 posts in total which include 2 posts in metallurgy, 1 post in marine science, 1 post in environmental science and 1 post in microbiology - corrosion science.

Pay scale: The officers will be given a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs6600.

Selection process: The candidates will have to appear for a personal interview. The selections will be based on the merit.
