Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE) offers B.E courses in streams like Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Post graduate level courses include MCA, MBA and M.Tech courses in streams like Network and Internet Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Management and Digital Electronics and Communication Systems. Admission for B.E courses are based on COMEDK score. On the other hand, to get admission for M.Tech, MCA and MBA course candidates need to qualify PGCET exam.

Admission Procedure in JNNCE
In order to apply for B.E courses, candidates must complete 12th class from a recognized board by scoring at least 50% marks. It is necessary for candidates to take up science stream with specialization in subjects such as Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. The admission process will mainly depend on the common entrance examination, Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) entrance exam. It is essential to obtain a good rank in this entrance exam to attend counseling process, which is conducted as part of the final selection process.
To apply for M.Tech course, candidates must complete B.E/B.Tech course in the relevant stream by scoring at least 50% marks. Candidates must also attend Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and obtain a valid score in the same. Admission will depend on GATE score card. On the other hand, those candidates who have not attended GATE need to attend PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) organized by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
Graduates in any subjects become eligible to apply for MBA course provided they obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the same. For MCA course, graduation is necessary. They must have studied mathematics as a subject either at 12th class or graduation. The admission process for both MBA and MCA will depend on the relative score obtained by candidates in PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) which is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
