Numerous people now a day are making their hobby as their professions.  there are a lot of people who are really creative and willingness to have a career  in music industry are actually pursuing degree course of  arts in music in various colleges not only in India but all over the globe.
Eligibility criteria

The degree course of Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in music is open to all the candidates who have passed their higher secondary or any equivalent examination from any reputed board of secondary education in India. The candidate must have a minimum age requirement of 17 years. The aspirants applying for the bachelor of arts in music must have represented the school or college or district or university or state in any cultural activities (as included in the interuniversity competition).candidate must have to produce their high school transcripts and standardized test scores (SAT or ACT).before a student can be recruited as a music major in the college he/she must audition before the appropriate applied music faculty.

Course outlook
The duration of the course is three years with two semesters each for testing the candidates’ creativity and the knowledge he/she owns about the instruments one is going to play and have a specialization into. The course of study will consists of two papers, paper I is of theory and paper II will be consisting of practical and recitation sessions.

Job prospects

After completing the course the graduate can find them placed in various music industries. There are lots of other options available. One can go for entrepreneurship as well.
