The Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers admission to integrated M.Phil – Ph.D programme in subjects like Chemistry, Economics, Environmental Science, Physical Education, and Psychology. Admission process is carried put on the basis of an entrance test (conducted at the University) and interview. Those with a valid score in UGC/ CSIR (JRF) examination/ SLET/ GATE/ ICAR/ GPAT are usually exempted from entrance test.

Admission Process for M.Phil – Ph.D Courses in LPU

Admission of eligible candidates is done on the basis of an entrance test (conducted at the University) and interview. There will be three parts for the question paper (Part A, Part B, and Part C), each comprising of objective model questions. The test is conducted in online mode only. Medium of the test will be English. Syllabus for the entrance test is based on the topics studied (in the concerned subject) at under graduate level. But for the subject of Management, syllabus for the test is based on the topics at post graduate level.

The Part A of the question paper comprises of 20 questions, each carrying 2 marks. In Part B, there will be 10 questions of 4 marks each. The number of questions for Part C is 5. Each question carries 4 marks. Questions will be based on two statements where the first statement is assertion and the second is the reason for assertion. The answer includes 5 options, regarding the validity of the assertion, the reason statement, and whether the reason is a correct explanation of the assertion.

Those with a valid score in UGC/ CSIR (JRF) examination/ SLET/ GATE/ ICAR/ GPAT are exempted from University level entrance test.
