GGSIPU-CET 2011 M.Ed
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) holds an entrance exam called the CET or Common Entrance Test. The exam is held in order to undertake admission in the Master level degree of Education or M.Ed programme within the University School of Humanities & Social Sciences. Indraprastha University was established in the year 1999 by the Government of NCT of Delhi and has been recognized by the UGC or University Grants Commission. It has been recognized to be amongst the largest University in the capital city and offers a large number of professional based courses. The University has managed to undertake a high level of respect for itself in the last ten years of its establishment.
The course of Master of Education programme is exclusively available within the University walls through the University School of Humanities & Social Sciences. The programme offered by the University is of one year in duration and offers around twenty five, and the number includes the reserved categories.
Eligibility:
A candidate should have done Graduation/Postgraduation in any discipline along with B.Ed. with atleast 60% aggregate marks in both theory and practical from a recognised university/institute. Candidates appearing for their final year examinations in 2010 can also apply. Also a candidate should not be more than 35 years as on 1st August, 2011
Availability of Application Forms:
Candidates can get the application form from designated Punjab & Sind Bank branches all over India. The form can also be obtained by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft and a self addressed envelope. Candidates can also apply online through the website ipu.admissionhelp.com.
Important Dates (Tentative):
Availability of Application Forms: February 2nd week-April 3rd week, 2011
Last Date for receipt of request for form by post: April 1st week, 2011
Last Date for receipt of completed application form: April 3rd week, 2011
Date of CET: May End, 2011
Declaration of Results: June 2nd week, 2011
Pattern of Examination:
The entrance test will be of two and a half hours consisting of objective questions from the following sections:
(a) Teaching Aptitude (40%)
(b) General Awareness and Logical Reasoning (30%)
(c) English/Communication skills (30%)
