A class 10 pass candidate is also eligible to appear for the course as the minimum age requirement is 15 years and must possess a Secondary School Leaving Certificate. An entrance exam is held for admission in the diploma course in chemical engineering.

In the diploma course of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering, the candidates are trained about the basic operation of the cooling systems, their thermodynamic operations and their electrical engineering.
