IIIT Hyderabad, International Institute of Technology, Hyderabad
International Institute of Information Technology or IIIT Hyderabad was earlier known as Indian Institute of Information Technology. This is an autonomous institution and was established in 1998 with aid from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This deemed university aims to reach unforeseen levels in the field of Information Technology with a wide range of subjects.
Courses Offered: The College offers B. Tech in two streams. They are electronics and communications engineering and computer science and engineering. Post Graduation is offered in subjects like computer science and information security, VLSI and embedded systems, computational linguistics, bio informatics, power systems and computer aided structural engineering.
Infrastructure: This institute is fully residential. The students have to reside in the hostels until the completion of their studies. The college has spacious class rooms, modern and well equipped laboratories. It also has libraries that have books on many subjects. Wireless internet connectivity is available in the campus. Students are required to buy their own laptops.
Placements: The placement department is very sharp and strong and helps students I getting good jobs and packages. They have great relations with many multinational companies and also companies of IT sector. The institution has a great placement record. Nearly all the students of this college get a good package every year. Some are lucky enough to get more than one package. Close proximity to Bangalore also helps the college in making placement interview successful.
Admission Procedure: The Institute conducts its own entrance test for admission to the seats of this college. A student directly needs to apply to the college for the admission test. Admissions are done on the scores based on the entrance test.
