Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University which is recognized by UGC offers post graduate programmes in more than 20 subjects. Admission to M.Sc courses are offered on the basis of written exam.  Final decision on selection will be taken by the Central Admission Committee of Amravati University.

Eligibility

Candidates having a minimum of 50% marks in B.Sc. in any discipline can appear for the Entrance Test for the post graduate programmes. Selection will be based on the score of the candidate in the entrance test. There will not be any negative marking for wrong answers. Duration of the entrance test will be 2 hours. It will be a multiple choice objective type questions. Maximum marks for the test will be 100.

Candidates securing less than 45% marks in the entrance test are not eligible for admission. Reservation for candidates will be followed as per the rules of Government of Maharashtra .The medium of the Entrance test will be English. There will not be any revaluation of the answer sheet in the Entrance test. The validity of the marks is only for that academic year. The venue of the entrance test is Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Campus. For certain subjects the University conduct its own online entrance Test.

Application Procedure

Application form can be downloaded from the official website of the University. Candidates have to pay an amount of Rs750/- at the University cash counter. Reserve category candidates are required to pay Rs500/- for the entrance test. The candidate can draw a Demand Draft in favor of Registrar, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, payable at Amravati from any nationalized bank. Candidates are required to attach DD or fee receipt along with required documents in the application form.

There will not be any reservation for any of the candidate outside the state of Maharashtra. Candidates have to affix their recent passport size photograph in the application form. The photograph should be attested by a Gazetted Officer. Application for the entrance examination should be filled properly and signed by the candidate. Applications should be submitted with certified copies of mark list. Late Applications will not be entertained by the University.

Final Selection

The final selection of the candidates will be based on the scores obtained in the Entrance test. The University does not assure admissions to all who passed in the entrance examination. There will be a waiting list. The final decision regarding the admission will be taken by the Central Admission committee.
