Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority was established under IRDA Act, 1999 of Parliament of India. The authority was incorporated as a national agency under the administrative control of Government of India. Initially, the Unit Linked Insurance Plans was being governed by Securities and Exchange Board of India. But the governing power was transferred to IRDA in the year 2010. The authority is based in Hyderbabad, India. The main objective of the authority is to protect the policy holder’s interests. Ensuring the orderly growth of the insurance industry is another major objective of the authority.

Job Profile:

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority is making recruitment of eligible Indian Nationals on the vacant position of Assistant Director. This is a special recruitment drive for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The post of Assistant Director is available in the disciplines of General, Information Technology, Accounts and Actuarial.

1. Recruitment of Assistant Director (General):
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduation in Law or LLB or equivalent from a recognized institute or university. Candidates should also possess 3 years of relevant experience in insurance sector.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 21000-36400 per month.

2. Recruitment of Assistant Director (Information Technology):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 35 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Information Technology or Computer Science or Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institute or university. Candidates should also possess 3 years of relevant experience in IT sector.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 21000-36400 per month.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Director (Accounts):
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be an Associate of Chartered Accountants of India or equivalent. Candidates should also possess 3 years of relevant experience in related sector or field.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 21000-36400 per month.

4. Recruitment of Assistant Director (Acturial):
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed atleast five papers of Institute of Actuaries of India or or equivalent. Candidates should also possess 3 years of relevant experience in related field.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 21000-36400 per month.

Selection Process:

A screening committee will make the final decision on the selection of each and every eligible or suitable candidates. The selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in Written Test followed by Interview Test.
