The Act under which the university was established, recieved the assent of the President of India on 20 March 2009. The university has the main objective of making special provisions for integrated courses in humanities, social sciences, science and technology in its educational programmes. Central University of Punjab is recruiting eligible Indian nationals for applying for the positions of Assistant Engineer, Section Officer, Hindi Translator, Personal Assistant, Junior Engineer, Estate Officer, Assistant and Technical Assistant.

1. Recruitment of Assistant Engineer:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualifiction: Degree in Civil Engineering with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent is required.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Garde Pay of Rs. 4200.

2. Recruitment of Section Officer:

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualifiction: Graduation degree with atleast 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent is required. Atleast 5 years of experience as Superintendent or Senior Assistant is also required.

3. Recruitment of Hindi Translator:

Educational Qualifiction: Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university is required.
