Delhi Technological University (DTU) was initially established in 1941 with the name Delhi Polytechnic. In 1952 the college was known as Delhi College of Engineering under the jurisdiction of University of Delhi and offered formal Degree level Programmes. The Delhi College of Engineering became Delhi Technological University from July 2009 under the Delhi act 6 of 2009. The vision of the University is to become a leading World Class Technology University.
