P.G.D.A.V College was established in the year 1957. The college shifted to its own premises in 1971. The college works under the control of the D.A.V College Managing Committee which is one of the largest educational Trust in the world. The college is one of the best institutions in South campus and Delhi University.

The college provides degree courses in ten disciplines such as Mathematics, History, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Economics, Political Science, Statistics and Computer Science.
