The Bachelors’ of Honors in Patrakarita Evam Jansanchar is a three year intensive programme for all those who wish to pursue journalism in Hindi. This is a very rare programme offered only by select colleges in the country. Most of the colleges form part of the Delhi University.

Eligibility Criteria

Since this is a full time intensive course with Honors, there is a common entrance test taken so as to award admission only to the deserving candidates. The test aims to assess the students’ aptitude in writing. In addition to the entrance test, the candidate also needs to have a minimum score of 65% at the higher secondary level.

Course Outlook

It is a three year full time Honors programme involving a lot of written work. During the duration of the course, the student will learn to write book reviews, content writing articles, editing and many other things. The student will be encouraged to produce his own body of work towards the end of the course amongst other things.

Job Prospects

Since it is a full time Honors programme, the graduates of the course have a wide range of opportunities in terms of writing for newspapers, magazines, websites mainly related to Hindi Language. The students can get work in governmental and non-governmental organizations and publishing houses.
