Nokia Siemens is one of the market leaders in the global communication service industry. The company fills up different vacancies arising in the company through campus placements and off campus recruitment drives. The firm recruits engineering graduates and post graduates in science subjects for technical positions. Selection procedure includes aptitude test, technical interview and HR interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed graduation in engineering subjects such as Computer Science, Information technology, Electronics and Telecommunication, etc are eligible to apply for the recruitment process.  Those who have completed Master of Computer Application or Master of Science in SE/ CS/ IS/ IT/ CT are also eligible. A minimum of 60 % marks in their graduation needs to be obtained. Candidates are not supposed to have any back papers while applying. Candidates who have completed their studies in regular/ full time mode are only eligible to apply. Candidates having good communication skills will be preferred

Selection Procedure

Selection process of the recruitment process includes two main stages, written test and interview. Candidates will be selected on the basis of composite score obtained in the screening test and interview. The screening test includes questions to check quantitative aptitude as well as technical knowledge. Maximum time allotted for the written test is 2 hours.

There will be a total of 100 questions to answer. Out of these, 50 questions will be asked from quantitative aptitude and the rest is from technical/ academic topics. Candidates can expect questions from simplification, Simple/Compound Interest, Coding-Decoding, and so on in aptitude section. Technical section will contain questions from topics such as operating systems, fundamental concepts of networks, Electronic devices and Electronic circuits, etc. Those who have cleared the screening test will be shortlisted for the interview rounds.

Technical interview normally has duration of 30 to 45 minutes. Personality, Communication skills and technical awareness of the candidate are usually evaluated in interview session. Candidates can expect questions related to computers and latest trends in IT/ communication/ networking industry. Questions will be asked from academics and candidate’s area of interest as mentioned in their curriculum vitae. Candidates can expect questions from their academics and projects done.

HR interview focuses the interpersonal skill and problem solving skills of the candidate. It is preferable to go through the previous year’s placement papers so as to answer the questions in exam and face the interview with confidence. Candidates are advised to prepare their resume in the best form available since it plays a significant role in the recruitment process.
