Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research is a research institution founded by an alumunus of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The institute is mainly dedicated to promote scientific research. The institute is actually an enhanced research institute recognized by the Reserve Bank of India. Initially the university was established as a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. The university provides various recognized graduate and post graduate courses to its students. The institute has a campus spreaded in an area of 14 acres.

Job Profile:

Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research is inviting applications from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the following positions of Communication Manager cum Editor, Assistant Administrative Officer and Civil Engineer. Candidates should ensure their eligibility for the deisred post before applying for it.

1. Recruitment of Communication Manager cum Editor:
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than the upper age limit set for the post.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in communication related subject with specialization in Journalism from a recognized university.

2. Recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officer (HR):
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than the upper age limit set for the post.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a Post Graduate Degree or MBA in Human Resource Management from a recognized university.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officer (Events and External Relations):
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than the upper age limit set for the post.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a Post Graduate Degree from a recognized university. Candidates should have demonstrated initiative.

4. Recruitment of Civil Engineer:
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than the upper age limit set for the post.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a Post Graduate Degree or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates should have atleast 2 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field.

No application fee is need to be submitted or paid by the interested candidates for applying for any of the above specified posts.

Selection Process:

The mode of selection of candidates on any of the above specified posts includes two stages i.e. Technical test and Personal Interview test. The final selection of candidates will be made only on the basis of the candidate’s performance in these two tests. Candidates are advised to prepare well for the above mentioned tests.
