Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) belongs to the Ministry of Home Affairs. The primary objectives of the SSB are to promote sense of security in the border area, to prevent trans border crimes and unauthorized entries into or exit from the territory of India, and to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities. Job Profile:

Applications are invitied from eligible Indian male citizens for filling up the following Group ‘C’ Combatised, Non Gazetted posts in Tradesman Cadres in Sashastra Seema Bal. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and abroad according to the transfer police of the Force. Candidates will be governed by SSB Act and Rules after appointment.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be more than 18 years for the specified position in Sashastra Seema Bal. Candidates should also not be more than 23 years as on 15 June 2011. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST candidates by 5 years. For OBC category candidates, the maximum age limit is relaxable by 3 years only. Candidates are required to be medically fit for the specified position.

Educational Qualification:

Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized board or institute is required for applying for the post of Constable in Sashastra Seema Bal. Candidates should also possess atleast 2 years of work experience in respective trade or one year certificate course from a recognized industrial training institute. Candidates must also qualify trade test as well. Candidates with multiple skills will get preference over other candidates.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be provided the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000. Candidates will also get other usual and admissible allowances to Central Government employees.

Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted by General and OBC categories candidates. The application fee must be paid through the a IPO/Bank Draft drawn in favour of The Commandant 25th BN, SSB, Ghitorni. No fee will be charged from SC/ST/Ex-SM candidates at all.
