National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research was formed on May 25, 1998. The headquarters of the research centre is located at Vasco da Gama, Goa. Mr. Rasik Ravindra is the director of the National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research. The major objective of the establishment of the centre is to provide a Indian research and development institution. The centre is responsible for administering the Indian Antarctic Program and maintains the Antarctic research station of the Government of India.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for the following posts of Coordinator Grade-III, Coordinator Grade-IV, Senior Executive (Admin), Scientific Assistant Grade ‘A’, Technician Grade ‘B’, Junior Executive (Stores) and Multi Tasking Staff in National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research.

1. Recruitment of Coordinator Grade III:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university with three years experience in the relevant discipline.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

2. Recruitment of Coordinator Grade IV:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university with two years experience in the relevant discipline.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Senior Executive (Admin):
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university with five years of working experience in the relevant discipline.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

4. Recruitment of Scientific Assistant Grade ‘A’:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 28 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. degree or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Candidates should have done B.Sc. with Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology as one of the subject.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

5. Recruitment of Technician Grade ‘B’:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with two years ITI course from a recognized institute. Candidates should also possess basic knowledge of computer applications.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

6. Recruitment of Junior Executive (Stores):
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates should have basic knowledge of computer applications as well.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

7. Recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 25 years.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent or ITI course from a recognized university. Candidates should also have basic knowledge of computers.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1800.
