Earth System Sciences Organisation is mainly responsible for formulating policies, oversee implementation of policies and ensure the necessary integration. India Meteorological Department, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and National Institute of Ocean Technology are the prime units which comes under the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

Job Profile:

Earth System Sciences Organisation is making recruitment of eligible and qualified candidates on the folliwng positions of Scientists in varioud categories. Candidates will be recruited on regular basis in three autonomous institutions i.e Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), Hyderabad, National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), Goa and National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai.

1. Recruitment of Scientist-B:
No. of posts: Only 17 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant discipline with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

2. Recruitment of Scientist-C:
No. of posts: Only 20 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant discipline with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

3. Recruitment of Scientist-D:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 50 years.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech degree in relevant discipline with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

4. Recruitment of Scientist-E:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 50 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant discipline with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

5. Recruitment of Scientist-F:
No. of posts: Only 25 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 50 years.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech degree in relevant discipline with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8900.
