Course Details of ICWA
Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India offers Cost Accountancy course in three levels such as Foundation course, Intermediate course and final. A pass in Higher Secondary examination is the minimum qualification for admission. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50% marks in each course so as to clear the exam. Those who have passed all these levels of courses are eligible to obtain membership from the institute.
Details about Foundation Course
This is the first level course in Cost Accountancy course. Candidates who have cleared their Higher Secondary course from a recognized board of studies are eligible to apply for this course. There is no minimum mark required for qualification. Those who have completed a minimum of 17 years of age are eligible to apply. Minimum duration of this course is 6 months. Final examination of this course is conducted in the months of June and December every year. Medium of instructions will be in Hindi and English Language.

- Business Mathematics and Statistics Fundamentals (BMS)
- Organization & Management Fundamentals (OMF)
- Economics and Business Fundamentals (EBF)
- Accounting (ACT)
Questions will be asked from each paper for a maximum of 100 marks. Maximum time allotted for each paper is 3 hours. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 40% marks for a subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate so as to qualify the exam.
Details about Intermediate Course
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the minimum educational qualification to pursue this course. Minimum age for eligibility is 18 years. Those who are studying final year of graduation and awaiting results can also apply for this course. Apart from this, those who have passed the foundation course are also eligible to apply. Minimum duration of the course is 12 months from the time of registration. Examinations are conducted twice in every year.

Details about Final Course
This is the final stage of Cost Accountancy course. Candidates who have cleared Intermediate course are eligible to pursue this course. Duration of this program is 12 months. The course structure comprises of written examination as well as practical training.

I have finished my inter with 95%. CA-CPT with 160 marks. I didn’t get through IPCC. wanted to appear for ICWA foundation exam. am I eligible for that? if I, then when to register for exam?? what is the procedure?
