Structure of the courses offered in NIT, Agartala

The various B.Tech programmes conducted in NIT, Agartala will be for duration of 4 years and that for M.Tech andMBA it will be for 2 years. The MCA course will be of 3 years duration. The course curriculum includes both theory as well as practical subjects. Furthermore project work and seminar sessions are also included. The diploma courses are short term courses which are conducted by the C-DAC Satellite Centre in NIT Agartala.

NIT, Agartala Course Admissions

Students for the admission to the B.Tech programmes in NIT, Agartala have to pass their 10+2 from a recognized board. They also need to secure at least fifty percentage marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Moreover, they should also possess good AIEEE score. Those who have done their bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 60% marks are eligible for the M.Tech admission. The screening of candidates to M.Tech programmes will be done on the basis of GATE score. For MCA programme, candidates are required to complete their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks and graduation with Business Mathematics / Mathematics / Statistics as one of the compulsory subjects. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is must for the MBA admission in the institute. For Doctoral programmes, students must have completed their bachelor’s degree with 70% marks and master’s degree with atleast 60% marks.
