IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education University. The exam is conducted for admission to MBA/PGPM/PhD programs in IBS Hyderabad. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks is the qualification required for MBA/PGDM. Post graduates in Management with specialization in subjects such as Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, and Operations are eligible for admission to Ph.D programme. IBSAT comprise questions from topics such as Data Sufficiency, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability, and reading Comprehension.

Eligibility Criteria for IBSAT (for MBA/PGDM)

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks is the qualification required for candidates seeking admission for MBA/PGDM. Final year students with the required qualifications are also eligible. Degree qualification must be obtained in 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern. Eligible candidates (who haven’t studied graduation or post graduation in English medium) should have a valid score in TOEFL / NELT / IELTS.

Eligibility Criteria for IBSAT (for Ph.D)

Post graduates in Management with specialization in subjects such as Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, and Operations are eligible for admission to Ph.D programme. Those with professional qualification such as CFA, CA, CWA, and CS with a minimum of 60% marks are also eligible. Such candidates should have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. Minimum age of the applicant should be 17. Candidates without the eligibility of English medium in graduation or post graduation should submit the TOEFL / NELT / IELTS score card.

Exam Pattern for IBSAT

IBSAT is conducted as an online test having duration of 2 hours. Questions for the test are asked from the following topics.

• Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation
• Quantitative Ability
• Reading Comprehension
• Verbal Ability

Verbal Ability

Most of the questions in the session of verbal ability have moderate level of difficulty. There will be 50 questions for this session and questions should be asked from the following topics.

• Vocabulary – 25 Questions
• English Usage – 10 Questions
• Cloze Test – 5 Questions
• Grammar – 10 Questions

Reading Comprehension

There will be three passages for the session of reading comprehension. Around eight questions are asked from each passage. Out of the eight questions, 1-3 questions will be moderately difficult, where as the other remaining easy.

For the session of Quantitative Aptitude, questions are asked from the following topics.

Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation

There were 15 questions on Data Sufficiency, 5 questions on Logical Reasoning, and 5 questions on Data Interpretation. Level of difficulty for the questions is easy to moderate.
