B.Sc degree in Computer Science is the basic qualification required for admission to M.Sc Computer Science offered in Osmania University. A minimum of 40% marks is required in the qualifying exam with Computer Science and Mathematics or Computer Application and Mathematics as subjects. This condition is applicable for all candidates except those belong to SC/ST. For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the qualifying exam is necessary. Selection Procedure of M.Sc Computer Science in Osmania University

Selection of qualified candidates in to M.Sc Computer Science course is done on the basis of an entrance test carried out by Osmania University. This exam which is called as Osmania University Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (OUPGCET) includes a total of 100 objective type questions. The duration of this test is one and half hours and this may have questions on analogies, classification, matching and comprehension. Apart from this one can expect questions from topics covered during B.Sc Computer Science degree. One must possess a minimum of % of marks in the entrance test to get qualified for the course. Those who can score above this are issued with a Common Entrance Test Rank Card. This must be submitted at the time of counselling process. Counselling is the final step of the selection process for aspirants who have qualified PGCET.

At the time of counselling, the candidate should submit their hall ticket for PGCET along with Common Entrance Test Rank Card. Transfer certificate issued from the institution where the aspirant had studied last year must also be presented. Those who are pursuing any distance or correspondence course in the current academic year must submit any proof of admission issued by the head of that institution. Apart from this, one must submit original degree certificate and SSLC certificate during admission time.
