Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) – Central Armed Police Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs has invited applications from Indian citizens for Sub-Inspector (Pioneer) and Head Constable (workshop) positions. Those who are applying for the post of Head Constable (workshop) should have passed matriculation and should be between the age of 18 and 25 years. Candidates interested to apply for the Sub-Inspector (Pioneer) profiles should hold a degree/diploma in Civil Engineering. Upper age limit for the profile is 30 years.

Eligibility Requirements for Sub-Inspector (Pioneer)

The candidates should hold a recognized Institute or universities Degree/Diploma especially in Civil Engineering and must be within the age of 30 years.

Eligibility Requirements for Head Constable (Workshop)

The candidates applying for the post of Head Constable (Workshop) should be between the age of 18 and 25 years. They must have passed matriculation/equivalent from recognized board or diploma from a government recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI). Diploma must be obtained in streams of Automobile or Motor Mechanical Engineering. Those having completed certificate course (Two years) in Automobile/Motor Mechanical Engineering or equivalent can also apply. The candidate applying for the above said post also needs to have valid heavy vehicle driving license. Apart from the above it is also desirable to have authorized workshop/garage experience for 2 years.

Physical and Medical Standard requirements (Male Candidates)

The physical standard requirement consists of 170cms minimum height, 80cms un-expanded chest and 85cms expanded chest. Scheduled Tribe candidates require 162.5cms minimum height, 76cms un-expanded chest, and 81cms expanded chest. Candidates belonging to other categories like Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and states like Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and State of Jammu & Kashmir should have a minimum height of 165cms, un-expanded chest of 78cms and expanded chest of 83cms. Weight is considered as per medical standards. Apart from the above all candidates should satisfy certain medical standards which include eye sight of 6/6 and without glasses 6/9 for two eyes. Certain other medical requirements also needed to be fulfilled as per medical standards criteria.

Physical/Medical Standards for Female Sub-Inspector (Pioneer)

The candidates should have minimum height of 157cms. Scheduled tribe (ST) candidates need to have 150cms minimum height. Candidates belonging to other categories like Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and states like Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and State of Jammu & Kashmir should have a minimum height of 155cms. Weight is considered as per medical standards. Apart from the above all candidates should satisfy certain medical standards which include eye sight of 6/6 and without glasses 6/9 for two eyes. Certain other medical requirements also needed to be fulfilled as per medical standards criteria.
