There are many exam centers for JIPMER entrance exam. Applicant should select a convenient center for written exam and must indicate the same to the authority at the time of application process itself. Application can be forwarded through online method only. After the process, a system generated print of the application form along with other relevant documents like DD, caste certificate; etc must be submitted to concerned address.

Candidate can select the preferred examination center according to their convenience. If the number of applicants opting for a particular center is less, there is chance for cancellation of that particular center. Another important thing to notice while selecting the exam center is that, once it is exercised, there is no provision to change the same. In case of any unforeseen events in the allotted examination center, that center will be cancelled. In such cases, new examination center will be allotted with due intimation through the official web portal of JIPMER.  Therefore the applicant must visit the official portal regularly to collect updated details regarding the examination.

Application procedure of JIPMER Entrance Exam

Only online method of application submission is available for JIPMER entrance exam. Before submitting the application through this method, the candidate should pay the requested amount as application fee. Examination fee is Rs.1000/- for general category candidates and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates. This must be paid through any nationalized bank in the form of demand draft payable at Pondicherry. DD must be taken in the name of Accounts Officer, JIPMER. The fee amount can also be paid through online method.

After making the fee payment, one can start with the online application process. Application form has to be filled in with accurate details and with out any mistake. Application should be submitted before the closing date, which is usually in the last week of April.

Once the applicant has submitted the application, an application number will be generated by the system. This must be written on the backside of the DD and must be sent to the address mentioned in the notification. Demand Draft must be sent along with the printed copy of the application form and other documents like caste certificate (if necessary) to the address of The Professor (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry – 605 006. All these documents must reach the advertised address before last date (Usually first week of May).
