Bachelor of Arts in Economics is a three year undergraduate course, leading to the Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Since the global market is growing in a very fast rate, we require people who can actually manage them. Graduates in the field of economics can help in managing the various resources of different organizations for Public Sector Units including State Governments, and also private business houses. Due to the high demand of Economics students in the market, doing economics from a good institute always helps.

The fee structure of doing B.A. in Economics from any recognized university is almost at par as per the UGC Regulations, and are not more than 5,000 INR or such for the entire course. But some autonomous and private colleges charge a bit more than normal. The fee structures of some of the top colleges and universities of India are as follows.

The University of Delhi and its affiliated colleges charge an annual fee of 2,300 INR for the course, including tuition fees, library fees, and university development fund. Students are required to pay refundable caution deposit extra, which varies according to different colleges.

The University of Calcutta is cheaper with only Rs. 700 as Tuition fee for the B.A. course in Economics, additional library fee of Rs. 200 is payable separately though. The Presidency University and St. Xaviers College charge more, which comes to around Rs. 5,000 per annum including all other expenses.

The Mumbai University, has a fee of Rs. 27,00 per annum for the B.A. in Economics course which excludes a library fee of Rs. 500 per annum, and the University Alumni fund of Rs. 500 which is payable annually.

Private universities like Amity University charge a bit more than normal, where a simple B.A. in Economics will be more than 25,000 INR per semester. But the institute provides placements to the students along with internship with an industry project.
