Re: Being a Mechanical Engineering Diploma student, how can I join Indian Air Force?
No, you cannot join Indian Air Force being a Mechanical Engineering Diploma student. Yes, to be eligible for joining IAF (Indian Air Force) the minimum educational qualification required is "Graduation" or Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor Of Technology from a recognized university. Since you are doing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering directly after 10th class, there is no chance with the present qualification you have. So I suggest you to pursue B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering to be eligible for Indian Air Force cadre. Yes, after successful completion of Graduation, you can apply for Combined Defense Services (CDS) Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Every year. Through CDS Recruitment, you can absolutely join Indian Air Force in due course.
