Given Qualifying degree are eligible for Gate Examination:-

>>B.E./B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Pharm (Post-Diploma/ Post B.Sc./4 years after 10+2).
>>B.S (Post-Diploma/ 4 years after 10+2)
>>M.Sc./M.A./ MCA or equivalent
>>Int. M.E/ M.Tech(Post BSc) (Four year programme)
>>Int. M.E./M.Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2) (Five year programme)
>>Int. M. Sc/ Int. B.S.-M.S.(five year).
>>Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E/ B.Tech/B.Arch) recognized by MHRD/ UPSC/ AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers-India).

As you are pursuing MCA through correspondence thus you are not eligible for this exam.

Yes, MCA student from correspondence mode are eligible for GATE exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then are eligible for GATE exam.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

MCA students are eligible for GATE exam. GATE exam stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

GATE exam is conducted to take admission in Master of Technology in various stream.

Eligibility for GATE exam:

Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology( 4 years after 10+2)

Appearing candidates are also eligible for GATE exam.

Master degree in in any branch of science /Mathematics/Statistics/Computer applications or equivalent

There is no age limit for GATE exam.

Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture courses are only eligible to take GATE exam. So, if you have done your Bachelor's degree in any of these courses, you are eligible to appear for GATE exam. But, MCA students are not directly eligible for GATE exam.

Yes, you are very much eligible to appear for GATE examination after having completed your MCA via correspondence mode, there is no problem in it.
