For Astrophysicist the aspirant must be a graduate. If a graduation in physics is mostly accepted as the base course. You have to study advanced physics and mathematics. Then you have to study post graduation in a recognized university. A good understanding of physics and mathematics are necessary. Knowledge of programming, electronics, statistics and chemistry will be useful. There are lots of interest personally will help you to study the subject and do research.
