I am studying diploma final year in diploma EEE after completion of diploma I want to do (IIT). Is it possible or not? Please answer me. If it is possible, then how to apply for the exam i.e JEE.

Yes, it is possible to apply for IIT JEE examination after completion of Diploma in EEE course from a recognised board. Candidates who hold Diploma certificate are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination as it is a gateway for JEE Advanced examination but, their examination rank and scores will not be considered for offering admission in NIT. So, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination for getting admission in IIT.

IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology and JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. The admission of candidate in IIT will be done on the basis of JEE examination.

For Joint Entrance Examination candidate must have passed 12th passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board. The age of candidate must be minimum of 17 years.

AS per my knowledge, you are not eligible to apply for IIT JEE after diploma in EEE.

1. Diploma candidates are not eligible for admission in Indian Institute of Technology. Admission in IITs is done on basis of JEE examination. JEE exam has two stages JEE Main and Advanced. Those who clear both stages of this exam get admission in IIT.

2. Diploma candidates can apply for JEE Main exam only to get admission in NITs and other government engineering colleges. You can also apply for LEET for admission in state engineering colleges in second year directly.

No, diploma candidates are not eligible for IIT JEE exam.

If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks then you are eligible for IIT JEE exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates. Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

But you can apply for lateral entry exam which is conducted for B.Tech course.
