Respected Sir, I am studying in class 10th and after completing it I want to pursue Engineering form top IIT colleges. I want to know what is the minimum marks required in class 10th to get admission in IIT for Engineering? Please answer as soon as possible.

There is no specific percentage criteria or marks required in class 10th to get admission in IIT for pursuing Engineering course. To be eligible to get admission in IIT for pursuing Engineering course, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with PCM stream from a recognised board and you need to appear, qualify and secure top rank in JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination. You need to secure at least 75% aggregate marks in your 12th standard examinations to be eligible to get admission in IIT through JEE Advanced examination.

Minimum marks required in class 10th to get admission in IIT for Engineering:-

IIT considers the marks of class 12 only not class 10th. You need to secure at least 60% in your 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Math as compulsory subject for applying in IIT-JEE.

Candidates who are interested to pursue engineering from IIT have to appear for JEE entrance examination and for that the candidates must complete their 12th standard with Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology and any other subject from a recognized board. Candidates have to score minimum 75% marks in their qualifying examination. For ST/SC the marks is 65% in 12th.
