When should I apply for Diploma in Mechanical engineering course through lateral entry? Should I go for lateral entry or apply for 1st year?


Hello sir, I have completed 12th with PCM group and want to study Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course. Please tell me when should I apply for lateral entry? Should I go for lateral entry or apply for 1st year?

After completion of your 12th standard with PCM stream from a recognised board, you can get direct admission in second year of three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course through lateral entry admission process. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or two years ITI course from a recognised institute are eligible to get direct admission in second year of three years Diploma course by appearing and qualifying the lateral entry examination conducted by your respective state technical board.
