Can I apply for an Education Loan for my brother's higher studies if taken Home Loan last year?


Hi,
I am currently working in one company and taken Home Loan last year and applied co-applicant as my mother for this loan. Now my brother want to go Abroad for higher studies. Can I apply for an Education Loan?

Yes, you can be the co-borrower of your brother's education loan. There is no problem even if you had taken home loan last year. You can take education loan at ease since you have stable source of income and on completion of all norms of education loan. However, you need to notify bank of your home loan beforehand while applying for education loan.
