The interest rate on education loan is decided by the Reserve Bank of India. Hence it is same for all the government undertaking banks. Both HDFC and Axis bank have the same rate of interest. The rate of interest fluctuates from time to time as per orders from Reserve Bank of India. The interest rate fluctuates in the range 13-14.5 percent. The interest is computed as simple interest for the entire study period.
