Ya this is prateep...i have applied for AAI(Electrical)...i have to write the exam on 19th of this month(19-sep_2010)..but i didn't know the syllubus for that exam.....Please anybody suggest me regarding the syllubus for technical section............Thank u....

AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA ( AAI ) DETAILS

Airport authority of india conducts an entrance exam to recruit students to it's electronics , civil and ATC for which the last date to apply is 20.08.2010 and you need to send the application form in the prescribed format .

attachment provides you the application form for it ..

The sample paper is attached below but previous year paper are not available on internet , you can refer to books which provided last 5 yrs. or 10 yrs. question papers ..

For the exam , you must be strong in technical subjects in which aptitude will contain the major portion .

Exam is of objective type and after written exam there is an interview and an additional voice test for this post ..

Exam paper is of two hours and exam paper consists two sections ::

technical section and non technical section.

Technical section contains questions from electronics / communication / microwave / digital electronics / control system / computer / information technology ...

Non technical section contains questions from general knowledge, English language, reasoning and general mathematics ....

can i apply for more than one post in aai.there are 2 separate advertisements one for ATc and other for managers and junior executive. i am eligible for 4 or 5 posts.Can i apply for more than 1 post.will exam be on same day.what should i do as the last date is approaching.

Airport Authority of Indian has declared the recruitment will be done through GATE entrance examination
the candidates who have score good in the examination will have submit their registration no & after that you will be shortlisted as per your score then you will be called for personal interview then the final results will be published
the weight is 75% on the GATE score & 25% on the performance regarding personal interview
the age limit is 29years as on 01.01.2012
the examination pattern includes total 65 questions
30 questions will be choice type which carry one marks & rest 35 questions will be descriptive type which will carry 2 marks each
the full marks is 100
you have answer the question under three hours
there is negative marking for one wrong answer 1/3 of marks will be deducted
the syllabus includes the followings:
general english
general engineering
verbal/non verbal / logical reasoning
technical section
general mathematics

The AAI written Question paper consists of two sections:

1. Non Technical

2. Technical

Section 1:


There are 4 types of questions in the section 1.

These are:
1. GK (General Knowledge questions)

2. General EnglishThe general english test questions are fill in the blanks type, errors, others(r.s aggarwal)

3. Reasoning
4. Other (puzzles, etc.)

Section 2:
The subjects for the section 2 are Microwave & Radar, Communication, Linear – Digital Devices, Networking (CN)


Normal engineering books for session 2 and RS aggr: quantitative and reasoning are sufficient
