Before you look forward to this career, let me tell you, you may not be working as airhostess for long.
all the private airline only hire airhostess of age less then 30 ( airlines like kingfisher hire 20-26 ). After that, either you are sacked or given some job on ground.

There are many good institute which provide training to girls and provide them placement too. They do help you realizing your dream but not for all. Most of them dont guarantee full placement. Even Franfinn (known as best institute) doesn't provide 100% placement.
Many girls are given job as staff instead of airhostess.

Hi Shweta

You don't need to have any course for becoming air hostess
However, you should have following eligibility

You should have done atleast 12th
your age should be 18-26 years
you should be unmarried
you should be good at communication skills
your height should be more then 157.5 cm

Work on your english. both spoken and written.
If you are sure enough that you can qualify air hostess exam and do well in GD PI, then you should go for entrance exam.

Air hostesses need to fulfill the following criteria's :

1. Your age should be between 18-25 years at the time of joining.
2. You need to be proficient in the required languages (English and Hindi) for India.
3. Your height should be at least 157.5 centimeters.
4. Eligibility for an Indian Passport, unmarried status and perfect eyesight and health are other important factors

QUALIFICATION :

1. The candidate must be a 10+2, or a graduate in Hotel management.
2. Clear spotless face, legs and skin. Colour fair to clear.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR AIR HOSTESS JOB

Eligibility for Cabin Crew or Air hostess job is based on a written test, group discussion and personal interview with a panel of aviation experts.

The aspirant must be eligible to hold an Indian Passport (for applying to International airlines) with a minimum height of 157.5 centimeters.

Minimum arm reach of 212cms (on tip toes), which enables you to reach emergency equipment on all aircraft types The weight should be in proportion to height.

Further, one must be unmarried, with normal eyesight of 6/6 uncorrected vision in each eye (relaxable depending on the airline- for example Lufthansa airline also employs married ladies).

Fluency in English, Hindi, and knowledge of an international language is an added advantage.

The applicant should be physically fit with a pleasing personality and clear complexion. After the initial screening of applicants is completed the airline company calls them for a written examination, usually of the objective type (multiple choice). Those who qualify in the written examination have to appear for a group discussion followed by a personal interview of successful candidates.
If selected you will be on training for 2 to 3 months in which time you learn about service, grooming, safety and first aid, after which you are initially put on trainee flights.

Personal Attributes: Common sense, sense of responsibility, initiative, friendly outgoing personality, politeness, physical stamina and the capacity to work for long hours on one's feet, ability to react quickly in times of emergency and a presence of mind, systematic approach, unruffled appearance, a well-modulated pleasant voice, and a proportionate figure with a graceful carriage.
