Best way to prepare:
1.Learn all derivations first as then you'll know the formulae and application, along with a bit of the theory as well
2.Go through all ncert example sums
3.For theory best thing is to learn from previous years board papers (if there is no time for full study)
4.Numericals - Go through the ncert exercises first and then do those of previous board papers

*Optics-spherical mirrors,mirror formula,magnification,lens makers formula,total internal reflection,optical instruments,polarisation,Brewster's law etc.
*Topics like-current electricity,electronic devices,atoms & nuclei,magnetic effect & current & magnetism,electromagnetic induction & alternating current,communication systems are the topics from which questios are frequently asked every year.here optics carries maximum weightage of about 14 to17 marks.

Yes, to crack your board exams whether its a physics,chemistry,maths or whatever subject it is NCERT books are the best as whole of the board exams and even competition exams are based on it.You should follow Ncert text books firstly and refer to other books just as a guide in case you like find insufficiency in numerical problems or work exercise.
To prepare for physics particularly just grasp the basics,understand the concepts so that it would be easy for you to study all the chapters.
For numerical problems i would say practice as much as you can.
solve previous year papers fully.

Now some tips

It would be very helpful for you if you make an all inclusive list of formulae.
Make short notes about derivations in each and every chapter. In addition to this, writing down the proofs will also be good.
You can try out all the numerical type questions.
Revise again and again. Never think that you know it all.

physics is a conceptual subject.so,to understand it u have to understand its concepts.in exams it asks conceptual question as well as numerical s.keep a good command on maths also.take a tuition for it.i suggest u if u want to go in medical or engineering field ,u should join coaching which preparing for it.if u can teach this subject to your friends or anyone then teach,it will help you.and please don't read so much books of physics,only use your class books.n keep it your finger tips.best of luck

I don't think so. Though physics is very easy. It requires time and that too consistently with regular effor from beginning of the year. Though concepts are easy. U will still need to cope. It will be very easy. All num r easy but when it comes to practice u need to study 1 hour each at least. Or just decide the quantity and study it with quality.

Yes physics is the subject which deter the students more but practice makes a man perfect , only determination is needed. First of all understand the theory perfectly then go for easy level numericals then go for higher level followed by hots. Practise previous year question papers as much as possible because that is the best way to prepare physics. Don't get depressed while preparing because that reduce your concentration level.
