Dear Aspirant, Yes you can do the MCA without a maths subject in 12th. But provided you have a undergraduate degree from a recognized college or university. So you can have a chance in the MCA if you do BCA,Bsc or any other degree which relates to the MCA. By this you can have no problem in doing the MCA. But if you are a science student and you did a pharmacy or medical degree.I guess you cannot be eligible for the MCA degree. Hope this info helps you. All the best for your future endeavor's. Any more Queries. Don't Hesitate to ask me. Am happy to help you always. Just ping to my profile. Best Regards, Sampath. |

Re: Am I eligible for MCA without Maths as a subject in 12th?
As you are good in Programming, MCA course will be a good choice for you. Candidates who are having strong programming knowledge are in need by IT companies.
As you are pursuing BCA course, it will be a better choice for you of opting for MCA course at your Post Graduation level. Here is the eligibility criteria required for the candidates to join MCA course. One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% of marks. The candidates must have gone through Mathematics as the compulsory subject either at 10+2 level or at Graduation level. In order to get admission, one should attempt an Entrance Exam. Different universities will conduct their own Written Exam to give admission for this course. As you are pursuing BCA course, it is the right time for you to start preparation for Entrance Exam. Choose the Entrance Exam according to the university that you want to apply and have the syllabus and exam pattern for the same. Give equal importance to your academics and also for the Entrance Exam as well and make sure that you will be strong enough in all the aspects of the Written Exam by the time you complete your Graduation. As per your eligibility, Even though you don't have Mathematics in your 10+2, you are doing your Graduation with BCA which contains Mathematics subject. Hence you don't need to worry about the eligibility. You are eligible to join MCA course. Better to get admission for MCA course in the University itself so that there is a good career scope for you. Wish you all the best. |
