At this stage you must be aware with the jobs after B.tech. After Mtech your practical knowledge is improved to a very high level . All the industries that offer jobs to Btech, offers jobs to mtech with at least 1.5 times salaries. Also in future your rate of grow would be more than MBAs. So, if you are interested in Mtech then you should go for Mtech. Thank You |

Re: M.tech. vs MBA for B.E. students
Hello friend!
Today most jobs are in the private sector so requirement of management knowledge is must,m-tech would only lead you to research and teaching line . So i would suggest you to opt you to take up MBA and ignore M.Tech which is outdated... I hope you will succeed in life..... Best Wishes!! |

After Mtech your practical knowledge is improved to a very high level . All the industries that offer jobs to Btech, offers jobs to mtech with at least 1.5 times salaries.here both are good in their respect for BE student,it depends upon ur field of interest ,if you want to be in technical side then go for mtec and if you are interested in management then go for mba, basically by doing Mtech u hav lots of opportunity in teaching field and some govt. exams not all govt. exams.everything is depend upon u area of interested, bcoz every specialization is good in their own respect,
Also in future your rate of grow would be more than MBAs. |

Re: M.tech. vs MBA for B.E. students
M.Tech and MBA both are equally good in their own respect as both offer good opportunities in future.
For doing M.Tech you have to appear for GATE exam which is generally held in February every year and if you can score well in GATE then you can get a chance to do M.Tech in good colleges. For doing MBA you have to appear for CAT,MAT,XAT etc. But to choose from M.Tech and MBA you have to ask a question to your own that is whether you want to be a person with huge amount of technical skill or you want to be a person with both technical and managemental skill ? If you choose the first one then you should go for M.Tech otherwise go for MBA. |

whether u do mtech or mba is purely gonna be ur choice.
if u r more inclined towards d technology den gettin an in depth knowledge in mtech wud be a gud option. on the other hand if u r more business oriented nd looking for analysing d business logics den mba wud be a good option for u. remember 3 thngs v carefully - 1) do not follow d herd by doing watevry1 else is doin, without havin a proper idea nd interest. 2) do join some good nd reputable institution for sure 3) nd last but not d least watever u do, do it 4 sure !!!!!! |

Future aspects of both field are very good as number of opportunity in this field.
But if you want to be an govt employee than Mtech is better due to more opportunity in govt sector. MBA is also very good but for that you must be a part of good institute like IIMs IBS GMT |

Re: M.tech. vs MBA for B.E. students
as i think for a b.tech or b.e student m.tech is better than mba because student's techniqal knowledge increases after doing m.tech as they get deep knowledge about their subject . also here you can get good jobs in gov. sector as well on the other hand mba is a management degree which is totally different for a b.tech/b.e student and your techniqal degree is useless there and also you can't think to get job in gov. sector generally. but college also matters a lot. go for mba if you get iim.

Re: M.tech. vs MBA for B.E. students
both the courses have a good future but u need to study either of the courses in a good institute rather than doing it in a normal institute.
M.tech is done for specification in a particular subject so you can add any number of M.tech certificates in your list by getting specification in many of the subjects.M.tech is fit for government jobs like NTPC,BHEL,HAL and other such government sectors. Mba is all about the market so if your interested in business related field's,Mba is a better option both in business field as well as making money. |

obviously M.Tech is better than CAT. After doing MBA though you will get good salary but you will so much busy always in your life and if you become professor you dont have to be so much busy in life. M.Tech is a learing process. so you can go for M.Tech.

after finishing B.E it is better to choose M.tech. becoz it is easy for B.E students to study m.Tech and also u will be able to go for IT or research field. but MBA is a option in which Arts & ENgg students are there but in m.tech only B.E students are there so lot of competions in getting jobs

I want to tell you that M.Tech is better for you because it is your technical field
and if you want to do more study in your field than M.Tech is best and if you want to make your future in technical field. so you can qualify GATE for M.Tech. but it s depend upon your interest. |

Re: M.tech. vs MBA for B.E. students
yes ofcourse m.tech and mba is a big puzzle for engineers pursued their b.tech....but listen choice will always be yours..i am just guiding you..after m.tech you vl be so eligible to get selected for any college as senior lecturaror professor your salary will be huge..and apart from teaching you can opt to work with various mnc's.they needed some masters students evry nw and den..so dnt think dat m.tech is of no use...its worth giving regard to ur hard work dat u made to get in to engg. and den passing it..which itself is a big deal..so better if u go for m.tach..
and about mba...u can pursue it as an additional course,,,apart from if u did ur mba only u will get departed from your technical line up..and will get selected for marketing and hr only... so make your decision,,and go with ur mind nt with wat others says..best of luck Quote:

Both examination are good and both have same level.it is very hard to decide which is best.
It is depend on your decision because in which field do you want to go.If you want to go in technical field than you want to select M.Tech or you want to go in management field than CAT for it. Please select your target.if you have good talent than you can earn more money in both field. |

Re: M.tech. vs MBA for B.E. students
Based on your strength and liking I would suggest you to go either for Marketing ot HR.You also mentioned that you like travelling. Then I guess marketing would be more preferrred choice. It also have wides career scope.Besides if you want to get admssion in top rated institute .The for Indai try appearing CAT/XAT.you want to get into IIMs.Then clear CAT with atleast 95 percentile (99 percentile for IIM-A).Then you would be called for either WAT/GD and PI.
If you willing to go abroad then you must appear TOFEL (for admssion into english speaking countries like US,UK) and GMAT or SAT. The top institute are Harvard Business School, University of Pennsylvania Brandeis International Business School, Boston The College of Business Administration, University of Texas at El Paso - |
