since you are not interested in the engineering then you can go for the medical field or you can go for the graduation in the science or arts or in bcom bbm ,or if you are interested to go for NDA then you can even try for that because you have got 60% marks , the minimum marks to apply is that 55% marks , and after applying there is an entrance exam you ave to pass it after that you have to appear for the interview if you pass in all these then you will be called for the training

Almost all the Engineering colleges from south offer direct admission on the basis of your 12th marks also but on the NRI quota seat for that they demand huge amount which is unbearable.
Better to prepare for IIT or AIEEE Or any state level entrance test.by the way There are some college which offers admission on the basis of your 12th marks as follows:

the question to ur answer is yes,ofcourse u can get admissions on the basis of 12th marks.i am writing few colleges below;
1.aryans group of colleges,chandigarh.
2.armiet college of engineering,aasangaon(thane,shahapur)
3.rajdhani college of engineering
search for these colleges and get admitted before the seats are full.

I will strongly urge you to appear for the entrance exams. If you have scored good marks in the 12th board, then appearing for the Engineering entrance exams should not be any issue for you.

The procedure of taking admission without appearing for entrance exam could be very difficult. Firstly you should forget about taking admission in government colleges.

Under no circumstances any government college will offer you admission without appearing for entrance exam. What this means is that count out several good universities including National Institutes of Technology and Indian Institutes of Technology.

Only private colleges can offer admission without entrance exam. The admission can be given through management quota. Through management quota private colleges do accept the candidates.

But it is going to be expensive affair for you. These seats can be taken by paying donation. You will have to pay huge donation in order to get the seat. The amount will vary from college to college.

Some prestigious colleges will ask a huge amount. Even then not every college will give you admission through management quota without having appeared for entrance exam.

Therefore my suggestion is that you should appear for the entrance exam if want admission. It will allow you to take admission in some very good colleges. The entrance exam to appear for is Joint Entrance Exam.

Joint Entrance Exam is the replacement of AIEEE and IIT-JEE that you mentioned in your question. JEE is conducted for admission in IITs and 15 percent all India engineering seats.

if you want to get seat in engineering college on the basis of your marks the following will be the procedure:

There are 2 ways of getting admission in to Engineering colleges they are
1)Direct Admission:

->One of the least and less preferred way of getting admission into Engineering in present day.
->In this way you directly approach the college and the recruitment is done based on pure performance in your intermediate.
->A small interview is conducted to test your skills and if you clear then you'll be give admission into Engineering.
->only a very rare and few colleges admit students in this way.

2)Payment Seat:
--------------------
->This type of admission is done in each and every college.
->25% of seats in each group of all the colleges will be admitted through payment seat.
->The amount of getting admission keeps varying from college to college based on the reputation of that college.
->Good reputed colleges will charge more where as normal college charges reasonably.
->If seats are not filled through seat then those seats are converted in to spot admissions.

I am sorry to say but you can not take admission in any college only on the basis of your 12the standard scores.

You will have to give the entrance exams of the institutes you want to get into.
Also for institutes not having their own entrance exam you will have to give JEE Mains.

Yes, you can to take admission in private engineering college basis 12th Marks. All private engineering college provides direct admission in b.tech.
