Can we get admissions only on the basis of 12th marks(CBSE) for engineering.If yes then in which colleges.(Without AIEEE and IIT's)

yes u can get admission on the basis of cbse marks whitout giving aieee,or iit
if u have more then 80% IN 12 PCM THEN U CAN TAKE ADMISSION IN AMITYUNIVERSITY,SHARDAUNIVERSITY,PETROLIUM UNIVERSITYDEHRADOON ARE THERE MANY MORE UNIVERSITY ALSO TAKE STUDENTS ON THE BASIS OF 12 PCM %
if u have pcm % is 60% then u can take admission in private colleges in uttarakhand or uttarpradesh
if your % is not good in u can take admission by managment quota

Almost all the Engineering colleges from south offer direct admission on the basis of your 12th marks also but on the NRI quota seat for that they demand huge amount which is unbearable.
Better to prepare for IIT or AIEEE Or any state level entrance test.by the way There are some college which offers admission on the basis of your 12th marks as follows:

Satyabhama University, chennai
Jaylaxmi Engineering college,chennai
Tagore Engineering College,chennai
M.S Ramiah college ,Bangalore
Hindustan Group of Institution,chennai

It is a must that you pursue the course from a recognised institute. Otherwise the qualification will be considered invalid. Most institutes either consider the score of these exams or they conduct their own exams. It is not possible to secure admission in a good institute without appearing for the entrance exam. Also you needed n't worry too much as the portion of the exam is similar to the 12th syllabus.

Sorry to say but you cant go directly in NITs,IITS and other good colleges without any entrance exam. Yes,you can go in some of the Private colleges,as they dont consider the AIEEE score and based on the management,but that wont be a good option.

BIT pilani allows direct admission if you are the state board topper in your state.

you can take admission on the basis of your 12th class marks without giving any entrance exam but in that situation you will not be able to get admission in a good college like nit or iit. for these college entrance exam is a must. you can take admission in any private institution by filling the form of management councelling. the forms for the management councelling will be available in the college itself.

NO, you cant.... you will have to write exams.

If your score in the 12th class is above 80% then some private institute take admission on the basis of 12th marks. I give you some institute name which provide direct admission in the B.Tech program.
1. University of petroleum and energy study, Dehradun.
2. Mangalam college of engineering,
3. Marudhar engineering college , Bikaner.
If you want to get admission in a good college then i advise you to appear in the entrance exam.

u will not get the admission in top colleges without any entrance exam.
Rather u can get admission in private colleges through their owm test.
Also some colleges give admission through management seats by charging some extra fees.

Yes, you can get admission in engineering on the basis of 12th marks directly in the collage you like by the management seat of that institution.
you can also apply through anna university where seats will be allotted through the cutt off marks calculated from your 12th marks.the allotment is purely based on merit.

according to me there are the private universities like

1) lovely professional university , punjab
2) sharda university , noaida

offers the engineering on the 12 th marks.
but these are private institutes.

Engineering is the branch of Science which deals with the technologies and their advancements over the years in different fields like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics etc..


Now if you want to do Engineering, then you must have studied Science Side in your 10 + 2, i.e Higher Secondary.

You should have passed your Class 12th boards with at least 60% and above so that you can get admission for the Engineering course.

Now if you wish to get admission in any government college like the IIT's, NIT's and other reputated ones, I am afraid you would have to sit for the entrance exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE, DCE CEE, WB JEE, etc, Clear them and then get a seat.


If you are talking of the admissions on the basis of Class 12th results, I am really sorry to say that no government college admits students in that fashion.

Yes you may think of getting admission in some private colleges in that way like Amity, Lovely Professional University, Manipal, and others.


I would still suggest you to take an attempt in the engineering entrances and who knows you might click.

Entrance exam like:-

AIEEE
IIT-JEE
OJEEE
GATE

All these exam if one exam have secure rank then candidate eligible to read Engineering......

Now west bengal government has made a rule that there will not be any kind of JEE exam. The colleges will hire students based on the marks in 12th standard.

So you can easily get chance on the basis of your 12th standard marks.

If you have very good marks then easily you will gte good marks.

You can join privet college under management quaota like:-
