Physical Standards details for the Post of Sub Inspector

Height required :

A) For Male Candidates -

• For General/OBC candidates - 170 cms.
• For SC/ST Candidates - 162.5 cms.
• For Candidates belonging to Hill area - 165 cms.

B) For Female Candidates -

• For General/OBC candidates - 157 cms.
• For SC/ST Candidates - 154 cms.
• For Candidates belonging to Hill area - 155 cms.

Physical Efficiency(Endurance) Test Details

For Male Candidates :

• 100 metres of race in 16 seconds.
• 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes.
• Long Jump - 3.65 metres in 3 chances.
• High Jump - 1.2 metres in 3 chances.
• Shot Put(16 Labs) - 4.5 metres in 3 chances.

For Female Candidates :

• 100 metres race in 18 seconds.
• 800 metres race in 4 minutes.
• Long Jump - 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances.
• High Jump - 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances.

Eligibility requirements

Educational qualification :-

• Candidates minimum educational qualification should be Bachelor degree pass out in any discipline.
• Candidates should be aware of the Knowledge of Regional Language.

Age Required :-

• Your minimum age should be 19 years.
• Your age should not be above 26 years.

Syllabus for Written Exam

Paper I English(Degree Standard) - 100 Marks.


Paper II Arithmetic Ability - 100 Marks.


Paper III Reasoning/Mental Ability Test - 100 Marks.


Paper IV General Studies (Degree Standard) - 100 Marks.
