after completing 12th wat shud i do if my aim is to become an automobile engineer

If you want to become a automobile engineer then you should first check wether you will come under eligibility criteria or not.

Eligibility
•-> 12th pass from any recognized board.
•-> Min. 60% marks as an aggregate in physics , chemistry and mathematics.

>> If you will clear the eligibility then you go through the examination procedure.

>> To get automobile engineering you will first give examination for entrance into it through IIT-JEE, AIEEE or through state level entrance examination.

>> After entrance examination result , you will get college according to your rank.

Basing on your 12 th marks or the entrance exams that you have written, get an admission into a reputated college or university and it is preferred to opt for mechanical engineering as your btech course so that you can gain complete knowledge regarding the mechanical engineering and from third year start preparing for the GRE and Toefl exams so that you can attempt for those exams and get seat in world's most reputated universities . For example you can get into the IIT's if you can get a good score in the above mentioned exams in India.There you opt automobile engineering as your M.Tech course and do an internship in a desired company,this adds up a great value to your resume.With this,your specialisation in automobile engineering will finish and you can be placed in a reputated company in campus interviews .If you are still more interested,you can even go to higher courses such as MSc or PhD .If you are placed in a company be perfect with your work and try to develop the ideas or the status of your company by introducing your plans.

Automobile Engineering deals with design and maintenance of the cars, bikes, trucks etc. This stream of Engineering has good scope in India due to presence of several automakers in the country. Some examples are:

Hero Honda

Tata

Mahindra

Maruti

Bajaj

To apply for the automobile engineering you will have to follow the same procedure which is followed in any other case of engineering course. You will first have to complete 12th standard from a recognized board and then apply for the entrance exam.

The admission in Engineering course (B.Tech) is not possible without appearing for the entrance exams. Earlier the AIEEE and IIT-JEE were two major national level entrance exams for B.Tech course.

However they have been scrapped from this year ownards. Now ISEET has replaced both these popular national level entrance exam. Therefore if you want to take admission in IITs, which are the best engineering colleges in the country then you will have to appear for the ISEET entrance exam.

There are other options as well. You can appear for state level entrance exams as well such as UPSEE which is for the Uttar Pradesh Technical University.

1. You should have completed 12th.

2. Physics, Chemistry and Maths should be subjects.

3. At least 40 percent marks in 12th board.
