Re: After BE: Should I do job? or do IES and public sector exam preparation?
Hello friend,
I would suggest you to prepare for public sector exam because once you get into it, you are secured. Any private company will entertain you till you perform, once the contract period is over, there is no such security of job in that company. but in case of public sector job, once you are in, you need not to worry as long as you live. The payouts in public sector is been increasing day by day and is undoubtedly, better option than private sector. |

Re: After BE: Should I do job? or do IES and public sector exam preparation?
Hello friend,
You can presently go for the job if you are comfortable to work with IT companies. After B.E in ECE there are various career opportunities. You can apply for the govt sector jobs like applying for JTO, or as you have mentioned public sector companies. Either way you can also prepare yourself for higher studies if you are not prepared for working in IT company. For preparation of IES hard work is necessary, you have to have very well concept about your subjects. After cracking IES you can get lucrative job offers from public sector. So it is your decision now what way to go. Good luck! |

dear friend,
as you a student of ECE but you can join IT sector first & then if you feel uncomfortable in this field then you can leave your job after your bond with company. As you have a chance to prepare for IES & other public sector jobs, but remind that there are very tough competition you will face there, so first try to get a job either in IT company or any field, & try to continue your preparation. good luck. |

Re: After BE: Should I do job? or do IES and public sector exam preparation?
Dear Friend,
After BE you can either do job or go for higher studies. As per me is concern i will be better if you go for higher studies like M.Tech or MBA. You can do either M.Tech or MBA but you should do your master degree from reputed college. To get admission to reputed college for MBA , you have to qualify in CAT or MAT or SNAP etc exam and then after you have to do well in GD & PI exam conducted by the college To get admission for M.Tech from good college you have to get good percentile of marks in GATE exam. It will be better if you join a coaching classes like T.I.M.E or IMS for MBA And for GATE you can join GATE forum. Or else you can do job in some of the good companies. if you complete your masters degree then you will be paid more. |

It is totally dependent upon you and your interest. You can do either job or Higher studies.but as per me is concern it will be better if you go for higher studies like IES or M.Tech or MBA IES is one of the good and prestigious exam. For IES your age must be within 21-30 years and you will be eligible for it only after completing your engineering degree or pursuing final year of your engineering. The exam is conducted by upsc . Re: After BE: Should I do job? or do IES and public sector exam preparation?
hello.......according to me you have to do preparation for PSU and IES exams.....public sector jobs are always better than a private sector job.....public sector jobs have job security, large pay scale and sure increment....and your branch is a branch full of different options so no need to join a IT company ... so don't be in hurry...try for the best....IES exam requires full dedication, clear concept and basic...so if you want to compete IES,,only focus on that....if you are not financially strong then you can do your job with doing your preparation ....but for that you have to manage your time and it may cause a burden for you......

it is better to write ies exam than joining any private company, but cracking ies is not a joke.it requires lots of hard work, one need to sacrifice everything, friendship enjoyment, facebook for it.if ur capable of doing this than just go for it,or else join the job which you have without wasting time in thinking.

Re: After BE: Should I do job? or do IES and public sector exam preparation?
Hi, last year i completed my engineering and got placed in research and development wing of a robotics company. I really love my work and currently work on a package of 3.9 LPA...this was a startup when i joined it. Now have 50 employees and i am the research and development head. Now i have completed my one year and i am into dilemma because my family and friends ask me to quit this private sector and get a stable govt job or pursue M.Tech. I am really confused whether i should join a coaching for Gate exam or stick to my present job. Please give your suggestions. No doubt i love the work i used to do in my company but i get influenced by others when they call it less stable for future. All the members in my family work in govt sector and i am the only one who got into this corporate.
Need you feedback. |
