Age criteria for AFCAT 2016
My DOB is 20/9/1992 I am interested in flying branch through AFCAT 2016, am i eligible for it as per my age? Tell me if my age is a problem.

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. On the basis of this test recruitment in different branches of Air Force is done.
Age limit for AFCAT I, 2016: 1. Technical Branch: 20 to 26, candidate must be born after 02 January, 1991. 2. Flying Branch: 20-24 years, candidate must be born after 02 January, 1993. 3. Ground Duty Branch: 20-26 years, candidate must be born after 02 Jan, 1991. Yes, you are eligible for AFCAT exam but for technical and ground duty branch only. You are not eligible for flying branch. |

As per notification of Air Force Common Admission Test, candidates who are born after 02 Jan, 1993 are only eligible. Age limit is 20-24 years for flying branch.
If you have license issued by DGCA, then you will get upper age relaxation of 2 years. Then you can become eligible for AFCAT otherwise you are eligible for technical and ground duty branches only. |

Eligibility criteria:
A candidate must have done degree from recognized board at least 60% marks. Age 20-24 for flying branch and 20-26 for technical branch. Height 157.5 cm for males and females. The test will be conducted in the month of February 2016. Last date of online submission form is 31st December |

Yes,you are eligible for getting admission into Air Force Common Admission Test as a Flying Branch.
Eligibility:- For flying branch-4 year degree course holder with minimum of 60% marks. For technical branch-3 year degree course holder with minimum of 60% marks. For GDOC- 3 year degree course holder with minimum of 60% marks. Age limits:- For flying branch-20-24 years as on January,2017. For technical branch-20-26 years as on January,2017. For GDOC- 20-26 years as on January,2017. Number of attempts:- Only four attempts. Important Dates:- Submission of form-first week of December,2015 Last date-first week of January,2016 Written exam-April,2016 Result-June,2016 Interview-August-September,2016 |

AFCAT stand for Air Force Common Admission Test. This test is conducted by the Indian Air force for selection of officers in all the branches of the Indian Air Force. AFCAT exam is conducted twice in the month of February and August. The notification for the said examination is published in the month of December and June respectively on the official website of IAF as well as in all the leading newspaper of India.
Eligibility for AFCAT examination are: - Aspirant should have completed his/her graduation in any discipline with 60% minimum from recognized institute and also should have passed 10+2 with Maths and Physics as his/her main subject with 60% minimum - Aspirant age should be 20 to 24 years, age relaxation is given to the reserved category Important Dates for AFCAT exam 2016 - Start date of online application : 05.12.2015 - Last date of filling form : 31.12.2015 - Examination Date : 21.2.2016 For more details log on to : http://careerairforce.nic.in/ |

No, you are not eligible to appear for AFCAT examination for flying branch jobs. AFCAT examination is conducted by Air Force twice every year.
The maximum age limit to appear for Flying branch is 24 years as on 01 January 2017 for AFCAT I examination but there is two year relaxation for those candidates having a current commercial pilot licence. But, you are eligible to appear in examination for technical branch as per age limit. For more information about examination visit at www.careerairforce.nic.in. |
