Hi Sir, I am studying in 12th standard and I want to appear in AIPMT next year. I belongs to an OBC category. I would like to know about the age criteria for appearing in this entrance exam. Please tell me immediately. Thank you!

Age criteria to appear in Medical Entrance Exam that is NEET:

Minimum age should not be less than 17 on 31st December of the year in which you are taking admission.

Maximum should not exceed 25 years whereas relaxation of 3 years is given to OBC candidates.

Age criteria to appear in AIPMT for an OBC candidate:-

AIPMT stand for All India Pre- Medical Test

To appear in AIPMT candidate must have passed 12th examination with PCB with 50% marks.

40% marks required for OBC /SC /ST candidates,

As far as you are concerned about the age limit for appearing in AIPMT ( now NEET ), then as per the NEET 2018 notification, for appearing in the same examination your age should not lie under 17 years by the 31st December of that year in which you are going to appear in the same examination while it should not exceed 25 years ( or 30 years in case of OBC category candidates ) by the date of entrance examination. Minimum Age required to Appear in AIPMT exam is 17 years.

1. The full form of AIPMT is All India Pre Medical Test. Now this examination is replaced by National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. NEET will be conducted by National Testing Agency now.

AIPMT stands for All India Pre-medical Test and same was a national level admission test held by CBSE for offering admission in undergraduate medical degree course till 2015 and has been replaced by NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) since 2016.
